KCI Airport New Single Terminal Foundations | Kansas City, MO

Project Highlights

  • Cost: $50 million
  • Client: Kansas City Aviation Dept.
  • Completion date: June 2020

The terminal foundations for the new Kansas City airport was an incredibly complex project with heavy structural elements and a demanding schedule. The project required deep foundations, grade beams, piers and pile caps, Axiom was a central figure in this essential part of the new terminal.

Axiom met the challenge while employing nearly 60% of KCMO residents who were also women and minorities. We were able to keep pace with the excavation team and provide the critical foundations in time for the structural steel erection. Our foundation’s team completed this vital task six weeks ahead of schedule.

“AXIOM IS A TRUE PARTNER IN OUR INDUSTRY. WE APPRECIATE THEIR COLLABORATION IN THE FIELD AS WELL AS THEIR SPIRIT OF CIVIC PARTNERSHIP IN OUR COMMUNITY. IT’S BEEN A PLEASURE TO HAVE THEM AS PART OF OUR TEAM.”
